BACK TO THE NORTHEAST - 011

It’s been less than a year living in Asheville, North Carolina - Kailey and I know it’s not the right fit.

On July 8th, we’ll be moving onto our next stop, and potentially the last - Portland, Maine.

You can love something and still know it’s not right for you.

I’ve enjoyed my time in this quirky mountain town. I love where and who I work with. I quickly built a small clientele. Kailey and I have made a little community of friends. I’ve made memories here that will last a lifetime - long motorcycle rides on the Blue Ridge Parkway, and basically any hike I’ve been on.

“A year isn’t enough time…”

It didn’t take long to know that we love this place. Similarly, it didn’t take long for us to know in our guts that it’s not where we’re meant to land. I was meant to be in Asheville, and in less than a year, it showed me what I needed to know to move forward in life. Even living through a once-in-a-lifetime natural disaster had its lessons.

The South is a very different animal. As I travel the country more, I realize how much I love and appreciate New England. We know we’ll never move back to Connecticut, but if there is one thing we know for sure - we are New Englanders through and through.

I’m grateful for the experience of living somewhere different, but I’m ready to go home.

Between the two of us, we have a combined total of 50 moves. As exhausted as we feel about making another move, especially a bigger one than the last - we’re both proficient at navigating discomfort and change, so we’ll keep moving until it feels right. We’re looking for a place for our little family to finally settle down.

I don’t have a shop set up in Maine yet. I’ll be guest spotting to find the right fit. I will also make regular trips back to New Haven, Connecticut to tattoo. If you are from the Asheville area and we are working on a multiple-session project, or you wish to be tattooed in the future, I will announce trips back to the area.

Follow me on Instagram and/or sign up for my newsletter to stay the most up-to-date on these announcements. The newsletter will update subscribers on tattoo availability, travel dates, new content, print releases, pre-made tattoo designs, some basic updates on life, and more.

If you are interested in getting tattooed by me, whether it’s in Maine, Connecticut, North Carolina, or anywhere on the East Coast, I now have a waitlist form you can fill out. When I travel to your area, I will contact those on the waitlist about setting up an appointment.

Lastly, I now have a place for you to leave and read reviews from clients. I want new clients to feel confident about who they are working with.

Please be patient with me in responding to any emails, messages, texts, or DM’s over the next few weeks/months. At the time of writing this, I am helping Kailey recover from surgery, tying up loose ends at work, packing for the move, preparing for a work event, and preparing for the next chapter.

This life is nothing short of an adventure.

Thank you for your love and support.
