• Fill out the BOOKING FORM. Then, select an appointment type, choose a date and time, and pay the deposit. I will respond as soon as possible to confirm. Please note that this may take a few days. The date you choose may be subject to change depending on your tattoo idea. I will send you options via email if this turns out to be the case.

I typically book out two months at a time. If there are no appointments available, you may fill out the booking form, and I will notify you when time becomes available.

Sign up for my NEWSLETTER to stay up to date with my availability and travel dates.

  • To schedule an appointment, I require a deposit ranging from $100 to $200, depending on the tattoo. The deposit holds your place and comes off the final price of the tattoo. Deposits are non-refundable.

For multiple-session tattoos, the deposit will come off the total at the last session.

  • My rate is $240/hour.

A simple breakdown of what you can expect to pay on the day of your appointment:
    - HALF DAY (2.5 hours of tattooing): $600
    - FULL DAY (5 hours of tattooing): $1,200

    STARTING A LARGE-SCALE / MULTIPLE-SESSION PIECE: $1,500/day flat rate.

This covers an 8-hour working day of stenciling/editing/tattooing, as well as the prep work of research and drawing prior to the appointment.

After the first appointment, you have the option to continue with either HALF or FULL-DAY sessions.

Every tattoo/project/client is unique and includes numerous variables, making it impossible to provide set prices. The final cost of the tattoo will be given at the end of the session. I am happy to provide you with an estimated time frame before your appointment to give you a better idea of what to expect.

For tattoos that require multiple sessions, please communicate if you’d like to work with a budget. ‘Half-Day’ sessions are a perfect solution if you can’t afford to sit for a ‘Full-Day’ session.

For example, a tattoo that will take 10 hours to complete will need two ‘Full-Day’ sessions or four ‘Half-Day’ sessions. The frequency at which you return is completely up to you.

  • You may pay with cash or card, tax will be included. Cash tips are greatly appreciated.

I also offer Afterpay. Please check the box on the booking form if you are interested in this option. When setting up your appointment, I’ll provide you with the details for this option.

My goal is to give you the tattoo you want and deserve, without letting finances get in the way.

  • To reschedule/cancel your appointment, please email me at contact@katiewhiteartstudios.com

Deposits can be transferred one time for a reschedule/cancelation that is given with more than 48 hours notice. If you need to cancel your appointment, I will hold the deposit for up to one year until you are able to reschedule.

If you reschedule or cancel less than 48 hours before your appointment, or fail to show up to your appointment, your deposit is forfeited entirely. You must put down a new deposit to schedule another appointment.

  • Consultations aren’t always necessary, as I can often understand what someone wants based on the information provided in their booking form.

If you feel you can convey your point more effectively in person, over the phone, or video call, I’m happy to meet with you.

Consultations typically last 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the nature of your idea.

To schedule a consultation, a $100 deposit will be required. This deposit will be transferred to cover your tattoo appointment and will be deducted from the final price. This deposit is non-refundable.

  • In most cases, unfortunately, no.

Very rarely, depending on the tattoo or situation, I will send a sketch over one or two days before the appointment.

The design will be ready when you arrive to your appointment. We can make edits to the artwork at this time if needed. If significant changes are to be made, an additional drawing fee will be added to the final price of the tattoo, $50/hour. Please be specific about the details of your idea to limit this from happening.

I have to draw several tattoos weekly and typically only have time to draw tattoo designs the day before the appointment. Only intricate or large-scale projects are started about a week before the appointment.

  • In the week leading up to your appointment, you should be well-hydrated. Moisturizing the area to be tattooed is great. You do not have to shave the area ahead of time. Try to get a good night's rest the night before your appointment. Please refrain from wearing perfume/cologne/heavily scented products.

Before you come in, have a healthy meal and drink plenty of fluids. Feel free to bring food/snacks and water to your appointment, especially for larger tattoos.

Please bring a valid form of ID, such as a driver's license or passport, for paperwork. I do not tattoo anyone under the age of 18.

Dress comfortably and appropriately for the area in which you will be tattooed. It is helpful to bring something like a hoodie in case you get cold during the process. I recommend bringing sunglasses to protect your eyes from my work lights.

Please bring something to keep you busy, such as a book and/or headphones for music. I love talking with clients; however, I prefer little talking during any time spent editing/drawing and during the actual tattoo process so I can concentrate. Otherwise, we’ll have plenty of opportunities to chat!

  • Please arrive at your appointment on time. There is no need to arrive earlier (a few minutes is okay, not 15-30 minutes, please!). Upon arrival, we'll review the tattoo design. If necessary, minimal editing/adjustments may be made at this time. After the design is approved and finalized, several options will be printed and overlaid on the area to be tattooed to determine the best size. I’ll finalize my setup, then we’ll begin the tattoo. For larger tattoos/full-day appointments, I take a quick snack break. You can also eat at this time (but feel free to snack throughout the day as needed!). Once the tattoo is complete or the session ends for the day, the tattoo will be cleaned, photographed, and bandaged. You will receive verbal and written aftercare instructions. I’ll give you the total cost for the tattoo, you’ll pay for the session, and we’ll set up the next appointment (if applicable).

  • After your tattoo is finished, I will explain the aftercare process in detail and send you home with written instructions. If you lose your instructions, you can find them below. Please email me if you have any questions or concerns - contact@katiewhiteartstudios.com.

I prefer to heal all of my tattoos using Tattoo Film (Sorry Mom Brand), a clear bandage you leave on for up to six days. It’s breathable and not the same as plastic wrap. You can shower with it on, your clothes can cover it, go to the gym and sweat, roll in the mud—it’s incredible.

If you have sensitive skin, issues with adhesives, or just prefer not to use the tattoo film, I will provide alternative aftercare instructions to help you heal your tattoo.

    AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS -

    TATTOO FILM:

Leave the tattoo film on for 5-6 days.

With clean hands, remove your bandage, wash the tattoo and surrounding skin with a mild, fragrance-free soap. Pat dry with a clean paper towel or air dry. Apply lotion at least three times a day (or as needed) for a week.

For larger tattoos, I recommend taking the bandage off in the shower, making it easier to clean. The hot water will help loosen the adhesive.

    NO TATTOO FILM:

With clean hands, take the bandage off after 1-2 hours. Using your hand, gently wash the tattoo and surrounding skin with a mild, fragrance-free soap. Pat dry with a clean paper towel or air dry. Use a very small amount of product, such as Hustle Butter or Sorry Mom Process Butter (available on Amazon), just enough to leave a thin layer over your tattoo. This will keep your skin from drying out. Do not re-wrap the tattoo. Continue to wash your tattoo and apply a small amount of product 3 times a day for 5-7 days. Continue applying lotion or process butter at least three times a day (or whenever necessary) for the next two weeks.

During the healing process, the tattoo may flake, peel, or scab. Do not pick at the tattoo, as you can remove the ink.

If you need to protect your tattoo, please cover it with loose, clean clothing (e.g., a long-sleeved shirt, pants, etc.). Plastic wrap is okay for a temporary solution (1-2 hours). Do not use gauze. Clean your tattoo immediately afterward.

    RECOMMENDED SOAPS AND LOTIONS:

SOAP - Dr. Bronner’s (my favorite) // Dial // Dove

LOTION - Hustle Butter (my favorite)// Sorry Mom Proccess Butter // Coconut Oil // Lubriderm // Eucerin // Aveeno // Cetaphil

DO NOT use A&D or Neosporin. Aquaphor is okay after the first week

    HELPFUL TIPS:

    • Avoid swimming for at least 2-3 weeks after getting tattooed. The tattoo is an open wound, and swimming before it is healed could lead to infection and loss of ink.

    • During the healing process, try to keep the tattoo out of direct sunlight. After the tattoo is fully healed (2-3 weeks), apply sunblock to prolong the life and vibrancy of the tattoo.

    • Allergic reactions are rare, however, some people have a sensitivity to adhesives. If redness or irritation occurs, remove the bandage and wash with soap and water. Use a thin coat of process butter until the 6 days are up, then move to lotion/process butter for 2 additional weeks.

    • If you need to reapply that tattoo film yourself - Air bubbles sometimes happen when applying the tattoo film. Try to push them out to the side or off the tattoo.

    • If the tattoo is swollen or sore (first day or two), you may apply an ice pack to the area for relief (15 minutes on, 15 off). Use a barrier, such as a clean towel or plastic wrap, between the ice pack and the tattoo. Clean the tattoo after you are finished icing.

    • When removing the tattoo film, excess ink will normally come off with the bandage. This is completely normal.

    • If you need more tattoo film, it can be purchased on Amazon. I prefer brands such as Sorry Mom or Saniderm. If you need to replace the bandage sooner, a similar product called Tegaderm can be purchased at pharmacies such as Walgreens or CVS.

  • As a neurodivergent person myself, I am mindful of sensory stimuli in the workspace.

If you struggle with sensory issues, please reach out ahead of time if you have any requests that would make you feel more comfortable, or if you would like any recommendations on how to feel more comfortable.

A simple list of helpful recommended items includes: comfortable clothing, sunglasses for the bright work lights, earplugs/noise-canceling headphones, and any comfort items you prefer.

I also ask that clients refrain from wearing perfume/cologne/scented products. Thank you in advance!

  • It is incredibly important to me to offer a safe, inclusive, and comfortable space where clients feel heard and respected. I am dedicated to creating professionally crafted tattoos with care, intention, and longevity in mind that clients can proudly wear forever. My work is about connection - with ourselves, each other, and the natural world.

I have zero-tolerance for hate speech of any kind. If I feel that you have crossed a boundary, I will ask that we change the subject, and depending on the circumstances, may terminate working together, whether the tattoo is complete or not.
